FocusFlow is a privacy-focused, offline-first Pomodoro timer application. We believe in transparency and respect for user privacy. This policy describes our data practices in detail.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

FocusFlow does NOT collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Account credentials (no login or registration required)
• Location data
• Contacts or photos
• Device identifiers (IMEI, MAC address, etc.)
• Usage analytics or app behavior data
• Task content or notes
• Timer settings or preferences

3. Local Data Storage

FocusFlow stores data locally on your device only. This includes:

• Timer settings (work duration, break duration, etc.)
• Tasks and pomodoro tracking
• Statistics and session history
• App preferences (theme, language, sound settings)

All data is stored using:

• SQLite database for tasks and session records
• SharedPreferences for app settings

This data never leaves your device and is not backed up to any cloud service by the app.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google AdMob

FocusFlow uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and process certain information for advertising purposes:

• Advertising ID: A unique, user-resettable identifier for advertising
• Device Information: Device type, OS version, screen size
• Ad Interaction Data: Whether you viewed or clicked an ad
• IP Address: May be used to determine general location

This information is collected and processed by Google, not by FocusFlow. Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

4.2 No Other Third-Party Services

FocusFlow does NOT use:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
• Crash reporting services
• Social media integration
• Cloud backup services
• Authentication services

5. Permissions

FocusFlow requests the following permissions:

5.1 Notifications

• Purpose: To alert you when focus or break sessions are complete
• Data: No data is collected through this permission
• Optional: You can deny this permission; timers will still work

5.2 Vibration

• Purpose: To provide haptic feedback when sessions complete
• Data: No data is collected through this permission

5.3 Audio Playback

• Purpose: To play background sounds and alert sounds
• Data: No data is collected through this permission

6. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Data security depends on your device's security measures (lock screen, encryption, etc.)
• We recommend enabling device encryption and using a secure lock screen
• If you uninstall the app, all local data will be permanently deleted

7. Children's Privacy

FocusFlow does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any users. The app is designed to be safe for users of all ages.

Parents and guardians should note:

• The app may display general-audience advertisements through AdMob
• No personal information is collected from users of any age
• No account creation or personal data entry is required

8. International Users

FocusFlow can be used worldwide. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted:

• There are no international data transfers
• GDPR compliance: No personal data processing occurs
• CCPA compliance: No personal information is collected or sold

9. Your Rights

Since FocusFlow does not collect personal information, traditional data privacy rights (access, rectification, deletion, portability) do not apply in the usual sense. However:

• Data Deletion: Simply uninstall the app to delete all data
• Data Export: All data is stored in standard formats on your device
• Advertising Opt-Out: You can opt out of personalized ads through device settings

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app and on this page. The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised.

Continued use of FocusFlow after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

• Data shared: Advertising ID (collected by AdMob, not by us)

FocusFlow is developed with transparency in mind. While the app is not fully open source, our privacy practices are clear and verifiable through this policy.
